It’s called the Tuolumne Lumber Jubilee and it runs from June 9 through the 12th.

Thank you John. Actually I misspoke. I meant to ask about the Tuolumne Logging Jamboree which is held in early June. I haven’t seen anything posted about it yet this year and can’t find anything about it on Google. They don’t publicize ahead of time very well. All of a sudden it creeps up on you and it’s upon you. It’s held on a weekend. Do you by any chance know when it is going to be this year? Thanks John and I hope to see you at both events.

I don’t know the answer to that, Kevin. I’ve been with the museum about 6 years now, and since I’ve been active, it’s been Labor Day weekend. It originally, during my time, was both Saturday and Sunday, but now it’s just Saturday, and that seems to work for most people.

You mean that it no longer is being held in June? I remember it being held in early to mid June in summers past. Why was it changed to the Labor Day weekend?

I grew up in White Pines and knew Dale my whole life. I became his next door neighbor around 98, I loved to visit with Dale, he would tell stories about his experiences some of which included my grandpa. I was always greatful for his taking time to sit and “jaw” with me. I will always remember him fondly. Alot of knowledge died with him, so let that be a lesson to all of us who know an aging person..listen and learn …and remember !

Grew up in and around logging camps in Oregon. When I see any of the older logging equipment I get goosebumps. I cant wait to see the museum. drive through Arnold regularly on my way to my cabin at Skyhiranchassoc. Jim

Your aunt Pat told me that the memorial in Ron’s honor is now complete as of about two weeks ago. She says that it is beautiful and is a fitting honor for Ron. If I get time this Spring, I will photograph it and put the photo on the web site.
